GGS - Control Panels and Systems
GGS has built a reputation for designing, building, testing, and installing integrated Station Control Systems. These systems are essential for enabling electronic logic control and monitoring, even for simple applications. Typically, these systems are an integral part of turnkey metering solutions, but they can also complement existing installations. The central Control Unit, located in the Operations Control Centre, houses the Flow Computer cabinet, station controllers, and the necessary communications and IT equipment for data collection, analysis, diagnostics, and transparent information transfer. Flow computers serve as the heart of metering skids, offering interfacing capabilities with various smart and intelligent instruments such as flow meters, density, temperature and pressure transmitters, and gas chromatographs. They provide a secure and auditable real-time view of the measurement system and can function independently or as part of an integrated supervisory system with a station controller. GGS's expertise extends to dedicated supervisory systems for metering, focused on allocation and fiscal metering needs. These systems enable central control and planning functions, including peak shaving, leak minimization, historical archiving, and more. All solutions are designed in-house and can integrate seamlessly into the operator's DCS/SCADA systems, ensuring secure remote communication capabilities.
As well as being the engine room of the metering skid, the flow computer also provides the required reports and data to the supervisory system. The ability to interface with, and acquire data from, a variety of smart and intelligent instruments including flow meters, density, temperature and pressure transmitters, gas chromatographs is essential.
Flow computers provide a secure and auditable, real time window to the measurement system. The flowcomputer can be used stand-alone, but are typically used together with a station controller or are integrated into gas or liquid metering systems with a supervisory computer.

GGS has extensive experience in supervisory systems specific to gas applications. Such systems solutions are designed in-house by GGS, supported by any of the widely available third Party software. All of our solutions can be fully integrated into the operator’s own DCS/SCADA systems and can include additional features such as secure remote communication.
