Glide Tuff - Model Type MC -Interlocked Lightweight Galvanized Steel Armor Cable
In 2021, Atkore launched MC Glide Tuff, a low-profile interlocked armor design that reduces fatigue on workers during cable installation. Like its predecessor, MC Tuff, MC Glide Tuff has a lightweight, high-strength blue galvanized steel interlocked armor that features ColorSpec ID/ColorTrak ID for easy identification. These cables have no conductor count limit, offer various conductor bundle combinations, and meet UL Standard 1569 and NEC 330. They consist of THHN/THWN rated conductors twisted and wrapped with polypropylene assembly tape, and come with an insulated green equipment grounding conductor.

- ColorSpec® ID/Color-Trak ID System. Lightweight blue galvanized steel armor with phase ID painted directly onto the armor for added identification without the added step of opening up the panel to determine circuit type.
- Handling. High strength, lightweight galvanized steel armor allows for easier storage & handling.
- Redundant Grounding. For applications requiring isolated, redundant, or dedicated grounding conductors. Isolated Ground (I.G.) configuration with 2 Green grounds, 1 solid green, 1 with yellow stripe available upon request.
- Connector. May be used with set-screw connectors UL listed for use with MC cable
