Globe-Fire - Model RCW -Dry System
The Globe Model RCW dry valve is a hydraulically operated external resetting differential latching style valve. The Model RCW dry valve is used as an automatic water control valve in dry applications. The Model RCW dry valve serves as the primary water control valve installed in the water supply to a dry sprinkler system incorporating automatic (closed) sprinklers with compressed air or nitrogen within the system piping.
Model RCW – 4 and 6-inch Automatic Water Control Valve: Where external resetting differential latching style valves are specified for use in dry pipe sprinkler systems they shall be specifically listed for such use. Automatic water control valves shall be ductile iron construction intended for use in vertical orientations. The bronze clapper assembly shall be mechanically seated by the pressure within the diaphragm holding the bronze plunger rod and stainless-steel roller arm in the set position against the clapper assembly. Water pressure release and operation of the valve is accomplished from the actuation of the dry pilot actuator or manual release. Automatic water control valves shall be rated for use at the maximum service pressure of 300 psi., and shall be UL listed and FM approved. Automatic Water Control Dry Pipe Valve shall be Model RCW with Dry System Trim Kit; as manufactured by Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation.
