Globe-Fire - Model UM -Universal Manifold Valves

The Globe Series “UM” Universal Manifold is a Listed/Approved manifold assembly incorporating a flow switch, test & drain valve, system pressure gauge, and pressure relief valve. The UM may be ordered with or without an attached butterfly control valve. The UM is rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 psi (20.6 bar). It has been engineered to incorporate the above, mentioned components in a compact envelope. The Test and Drain Valve contains a test orifice of K2.8 so that it may be utilized for flow testing any system with sprinklers having K-Factors of 2.8 or larger. The UM is available in a variety of sizes and end connections to allow for cost effectiveness and ease of connections to check valves, control valves, and piping. The UM may be installed in the vertical (with flow upward) or horizontal orientation

Model UM – 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 4, 6, and 8-inch Universal Manifold: Where universal manifold assemblies are specified for use in wet-pipe sprinkler systems, as floor control manifolds they shall be specifically listed for such use. Universal manifold assemblies shall be ductile iron construction, incorporating a control valve, flow switch, test & drain assembly, adjustable relief valve, and system gauge in one compact body/footprint. The test & drain assemble shall contain an adjustable relief valve, with a range of 175 to 310 psi, and a universal test orifice of K2.8; to provide testing capabilities of systems with k-factors ranging from K2.8 and larger. Universal manifold assemblies shall be rated for use at the maximum service pressure of 300 psi and shall be UL listed and FM approved. Universal manifold assemblies shall be the Model UM; as manufactured by Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation.
