The Genesis Glovebox Gas Purification System represents a significant advancement in the field of inert atmosphere technologies developed by VAC. This system is engineered to simplify the user experience while providing exceptional purification performance. It is equipped with integrated, independent inert gas purifiers that boast a revolutionary patented design capable of maintaining glovebox oxygen and moisture purity levels below 1 ppm. The Genesis Purifier Cartridges come pre-activated, eliminating the need for high maintenance external purification columns, circulation blowers, and complicated regeneration systems. Its oxygen purification features an atmosphere circulation assembly, power supply, and oxygen removal cartridge, while the moisture purification module combines similar components tailored for moisture removal. The system includes user-friendly display and control systems, an Oxygen Analyzer Assembly for monitoring levels from 0.1 ppm to 25% oxygen, and a Moisture Analyzer Assembly to monitor moisture levels up to 0.5 ppm. The system dimensions are variable, with options for 2-port and 4-port configurations. Notably, the Genesis requires no user-driven regeneration processes, offering a streamlined, efficient solution for maintaining optimal glovebox conditions in various scientific and industrial settings.

The GENESIS has been designed to be the most cost effective stainless steel inert atmosphere glovebox system on the market.

The GENESIS was born from VAC’s ongoing research and development and our pursuit to simplify the user experience by advancements in inert atmosphere technologies.

Each system is supplied with integrated independent inert gas purifiers. The Genesis Purifier Cartridges are supplied pre-activated and ready for immediate use. Our revolutionary patented design is able to achieve and maintain glovebox oxygen and moisture purity levels of < 1 ppm.

This design eliminates the need for high maintenance external gas purification columns, circulation blowers, regeneration valves, regeneration control systems or requirements for regeneration gas.

VAC’s Cartridge Technology has changed the way the world thinks about inert atmosphere purification methods.

Every Genesis Glovebox System comes with oxygen and moisture purification as standard.

Oxygen Purification

Includes an atmosphere circulation assembly, power supply, and oxygen removal cartridge. These low cost cartridges are designed to be replaced by fully activated replacements purchased exclusively from Vacuum Atmospheres Company.

Moisture Purification

Includes an atmosphere circulation assembly, power supply, and moisture removal cartridge. These low cost cartridges are designed to be replaced by fully activated replacements purchased from exclusively Vacuum Atmospheres Company.

Performance

  • Antechamber pump down time: 6 minute cycle (typical)
  • Leak Certification: Helium leak check to 1 X 10-6 std cc/sec.
  • Safety Certification: Conforms and certified to UL Std 61010-1 and CSA Std C22.2 NO 1010.1, certified for CE conformity

Display and Control Systems

  • Oxygen Analyzer Assy, : LCD display, calibration system and electrolytic fuel cell. Monitors and displays the glovebox levels from 0.1 ppm to 25% oxygen.
  • Moisture Analyzer Assy: LCD display, aluminum oxide probe with NIST traceable calibration. Monitors and displays the glovebox levels to 0.5-ppm moisture (-80°C dew point)
  • Pressure Control:  Glovebox pressure is monitored and controlled by the Dwyer Photohelic® gauge, a proven pressure control component for decades. The pressure Control rang is +/- 5 inches of water column (+/- 12.4 mbar).
  • Purifiers: Each has 3 speed settings; Off, Low, and High.
  • Antechamber: 9.38” x  9.38” x 12” (internal dimensions)

Standard System Items

  • Glovebox: Single Sided and Single Length (2 Port). 45″ wide x 30″ deep x 36″ height (1143 x 762 x 914 mm), stainless steel construction with removable end panels. Full view 1⁄4” thick scratch-resistant polycarbonate front window, with aluminum glove ports. One dual AC electrical junction box (for customer use) and one dual DC electrical junction box (for purifier power) inside of glovebox.
  • Stand: Welded steel construction supporting the glovebox, instrumentation and controls. Stand has height levelers and casters. System can be ordered without stand.
  • Antechamber: 9.38” x 9.38” x 12” (internal dimensions) stainless steel construction, mounted on right panel. Manual ball valves for evacuation and refill.
  • Oxygen Purification Kit: Includes circulation assembly and oxygen removal cartridge. These low cost cartridges are designed to be replaced by fully activated replacements purchased exclusively  from Vacuum Atmospheres Company.
