Göttingen Drill Rods

SHARE

The Göttingen drilling rods were developed for Nmin sampling up to 90 cm. Sampling is done by hand and without additional tools. They are pressed into the ground and are therefore only suitable for light soils. The drill groove is made of specially hardened steel. The ingenious milled profile and the system of three drill bits with matching diameters minimize the frictional forces when piercing and pulling out. Compared to conventional removal tools, only a small amount of force is required.

  • significantly higher work performance than with conventional hand-held devices
  • no damage on the field by driving on it
  • no damage to drains, cables or lines
  • Sampling is also possible on wet floors
  • exact separation of the 3 layers with N-min samples
  • Improved handling thanks to reinforced padding on the handles!

16 parallel punctures with the Göttingen drilling rods result in 500-1000g of soil material, depending on the depth section, and allow reliable analysis results. On stony or dried-out soils and on some dense sandy soils, the Göttingen auger rods can only be used to a limited extent or not at all.
