GREENPUMPS - Model GPTA -GPA Sanitary Pump for Catalyst Heating
This GPA sanitary pump is specifically engineered for high-temperature applications, such as pumping hot oil at 450°C, primarily used for catalyst heating in a pilot plant environment. The plant itself serves a critical role in testing a novel process for hydrocarbon extraction from waste. Despite being a seal-less magnetic drive pump, it incorporates an internal mechanical seal to efficiently isolate the high temperature pump volute from the magnetic coupling. This design feature ensures optimal operational performance even at extreme temperatures. The magnetic coupling is thermally regulated to maintain it at a temperature of approximately 100°C through an external flushing system compatible with the process fluid. This precise thermal management is crucial to the pump's functionality and reliability, given the demanding operational environment involving high-temperature fluids.
This pump is purposely designed for pumping hot oil at 450°C, used for catalyst heating in a pilot plant. The pilot plant has been built in order to test a new process of extraction of hydrocarbons from garbage.
Even if this is a magnetic drive seal-less pump it has been equipped with an internal mechanical seal in order to keep separate the high temperature pump volute (450°C) and the magnetic coupling (maximum allowable temperature 315°C). Magnetic coupling is maintained cooled around 100°C , by using an external flushing compatible with the process fluid.
