The use of gray water is possible. It is divided into two different types: direct use and refining use. The best example of direct use is usually garden irrigation works. Considering that thirst is becoming increasingly common in our country, such practices will provide significant water savings.

Generally, experts advise people who will use gray water to treat it before use. Because there are various chemicals in the water, they can cause damage to both the soil and the plants. It causes different stains in the toilet when used in the reservoir as well as in the garden. Consumers need more cleaning agents and water to remove these stains.

If the gray water treatment system  will be used directly, the waiting time should not be long. For example, the water coming out of the washing machine should be used directly in the toilet reservoir or for irrigation. As the water sits, the chemicals in it become more effective.

The reuse of gray water is becoming more common day by day in our country. These waters can be used for purposes such as reservoir feeding, ornamental pools, garden irrigation, laundry, cooling tower feeding, rough cleaning and vehicle washing. The cleaner the water, the wider the usage area. Therefore, the demand for the treatment of gray water is higher.

Gray water, which is made suitable for use, provides the advantage of being used in all housing projects, mosques, hotels and shopping centers, public buildings and social facilities, student dormitories, social facilities, sports halls and schools.

Gray Water Recovery System

The benefits of using recycled gray water are important in terms of both environmental protection and water conservation. In this way, the hygiene standards of the water to be recovered can be determined, unnecessary and excessive use of the existing mains water can be prevented. Gray water treatment is slightly easier than black water with a high dirt level.

With the use of gray water, an important step will be taken in the fight against drought. The fact that this water can be used at every stage of production will reduce the use of intensive water. In some cases, gray water will need to be treated to reach the desired level. For this purpose, chemical, physical or biological treatment methods are used. In physical treatment, filtration and precipitation processes are applied. In order for the applied processes to yield successful results , the gray water recovery systems prepared with advanced technology   will be extremely effective. In this way, the water used will be far from the septic system or sewerage and will become healthy.

Different technologies are used for gray water reuse, including photocatalytic oxidation, artificial wetland, electrocoagulation, rotary biological reactors, membrane bioreactors, rotary biological reactors and sequential batch reactors. As a result, the residues from the treatment are sent directly to the sewer. The remaining clean and usable water is transferred to the domestic water tank. The water taken from here can be easily used in laundry, toilet reservoir, cleaning, car washing, garden irrigation and similar areas.

The applied  gray water treatment  processes will differ depending on the technical structure used. Generally, in the first stage, solid objects such as nails, hair and hair in the water are purified. For this, support is taken from the hair-holding fine filter. Then, oxygen enrichment, that is, biological treatment, is carried out. The water, which is purified from solid objects, is ventilated for certain periods and is enriched in terms of oxygen. The aim here is to create an environment for aerobic bacteria to live.

The water whose biological treatment is completed is ultrafiltration using membrane technology. This process ensures the removal of harmful bacteria and pathogens in the water. Then, equal pressure distribution is applied against partial impurities that may remain in the water. At this stage, since diffuser holes of equal size are used, there is no point that is not cleaned. The water passed through all modules is then transferred to the clean water section. Here, chlorine is added in the appropriate pH balance so that the water always remains sterile.
