GTMModel Series ILA -DMS Measuring Amplifier

SHARE

The new powerful and future-proof GTM Inline Amplifier (ILA) is a highly innovative, dynamic, ultra-compact, precise and robust strain gauge sensor electronics with an industrial interface (EtherCAT ® ), which is particularly suitable for decentralized, highly dynamic, automated test bench measurement data acquisition systems or demanding industrial automation applications. The ILA strain gauge measuring amplifier digitizes the signals from analog strain gauge sensors such as force transducers or other strain gauge sensors, such as torque sensors or load cells. With a true measurement rate of 40 kS/s and a bandwidth of 2 kHz, the smart ILA is the perfect solution for highly dynamic and accurate testing and inspection applications.

The ILA is used or installed “close” to the sensor, which means that the measurement data is recorded decentrally, e.g. B. directly in the testing machine or directly in the field - thanks to IP67 protection for all connections (sensor & system) even in harsh environmental conditions. The decentralized approach significantly shortens the necessary sensor measurement lines, an important advantage for both measurement performance and costs, because the system topology is built using industrial RJ45 cables. Of course, control cabinet installation on DIN rail is also possible as an option. The measuring amplifier is supplied via Power over Ethernet (passive PoE). This aspect has a positive effect on system costs, especially with higher channel numbers, as the ILA has an integrated switch with which a large number of ILAs can be easily and conveniently connected, depending on the cable length. This applies to supply and high-performance EtherCAT communication.

The entire installation is carried out easily “close to the sensor” and via “Plug & Process”, both on the sensor side via standard M12 connectors and on the system side via RJ45 connectors. Your decentralized smart force measuring chain is ready for use in just a few minutes.

You can use the integrated EtherCAT ® interface to quickly and efficiently integrate and further process the high-performance signals into your automation system or test bench automation. Integrated filter functions are also on board. For demanding multi-channel applications, the real Distributed Clocks feature (DC) with 1µs is integrated - particularly important for the synchronous further processing of the high-precision and dynamic measurement data acquisition.

Ideal areas of application for the smart ILA are test benches for material and materials testing, component tests as well as industrial quality and process control for both new equipment and retrofitting of existing systems.
