G.W.R Engineering LTD was formed in 1985 with a management and staff of over 40 years of experience in the presswork industry.

The original aim of the company was to supply pressed steel parts to both the container repair industry and general fabrication companies.

After 3 years, G.W.R. expanded and invested in new machinery to satisfy market demands. A decision was made to purchase a manufacturing unit embracing 7,000 square feet, located close to the Mersey docklands.

Over the next 7 years, G.W.R. grew to be a major supplier of pressed steel components to the UK and and Ireland, for the fabrication and construction sectors. After careful consideration and a marketing drive in 1992, we expanded our product range to include the production of waste disposal skips.

In 1995 the local council placed a Compulsory Purchase Order was placed on our premises to make way for a new dual carriageway. The company quickly realised that it was the perfect opportunity to construct a new factory, increasing our presswork activities and giving a greater range in manufacturing of waste disposal equipment.

G.W.R. moved to a newly constructed, purpose-built factory comprising 16,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and with extensive office facilities in March 1996.
