Gazpack - Model SULAFER® -H2S removal by SULAFER® is safer, easier and an eco-friendlier alternative for gas upgrading.

Active carbon is commonly used to remove H2S from (bio)gas. Activated carbon works as an absorption process. The saturated activated carbon is smells heavily and is considered as a dangerous poison, it must be transported in closed airtight containers and must be handled as chemical waste with the highest degree of danger. GAZPACK has designed SULAFER®. This acts as a catalyst that effectively neutralizes toxic hydrogen sulfide (H2S) into non-harmful iron, sulfur and water. Prior to replacing the container, thorough aeration is conducted to ensure complete elimination of any remaining H2S residue. SULAFER® is therefore safer, easier and an eco-friendlier alternative to use. In certain regions, we have successfully persuaded the authorities that SULAFER® is safe waste material, resulting in reduced disposal costs in most countries. However it could be used for pavement roads. It is smell free due to air washing at the end of its life cycle.
