1955 QUICK AND SAFE BACK ON TRACK

Introduction of the first LUKAS re-railing system. Since then, this branch of the company has been active as an international leader. The precision and safety enjoyed when moving loads, exclusively from the control station, represent a significant difference in quality here.

1972 INTO ACTION FASTER

LUKAS rescue equipment is introduced. Cutting equipment and spreaders should provide optimum support to rescue workers in every emergency scenario and save lives.

1988 COMBI-TOOL AND STAR GRIP CONTROL

Two highlights during this year: LUKAS revolutionises the operation of rescue equipment with the star grip control, therefore enabling work without having to twist the wrist. Furthermore, the first LKS 35 combi-tool is launched on the market.

1995 INTEGRATION IN THE IDEX CORPORATION

LUKAS becomes part of the IDEX Corporation. The American company invests globally in successful medium-sized companies in specialist markets. All the companies in the group have a technical orientation and high innovative strength.

1996 THE FIRST THREE-STAGE TELESCOPIC RAM

The world`s first three-stage telescopic ram LTR 3.5/820 sets new standards for safe and rapid lifting work. And the patented ISV valve (Intelligent Selector Valve) takes care of the changeover at the power unit automatically during dual mode operation.

2000 TRIMO POWER UNIT INTRODUCTION

Rapid multitasking at the rescue site. The TRIMO power unit makes it possible to operate three rescue tools simultaneously for the first time. An innovative step into the new millennium.

2003 SUPERIOR CUTTING PERFORMANCE

The new type of blade geometry on the LS 501 EN cutter automatically brings the material into the correct position for cutting. The LS 530 EN cutter gives rescuers a huge blade opening width.

2005 WORLD RECORD: OVER 100 TONNES OF CUTTING FORCE

Unprecedented strength! With more than 100 tonnes of cutting force, the LS 511 becomes the world record holder. After a significant weight reduction, the LKE 55 combi-tool now has a power density that must surely make it a record-breaker too. Constant enhancements of its electro-hydraulic technology make it the perfect solution for rescue work in hard-to-reach places.

2007 USER-FRIENDLY MONO-COUPLING SYSTEM

Lightning-fast tool change with the power unit running. The innovative LUKAS mono-coupling system is mechanically very robust and user-friendly and makes manual pressure release a thing of the past. Rescuers profit from this innovation though increased flexibility during rescue operations.

2010 world innovation EDRAULIC

Introduction of the worldwide innovation eDRAULIC - independent of hoses and power units, the next generation of electro-hydraulic rescue equipment provides the same performance as was previously only possible with tools operated using power units. The rescue personnel are much more flexible, free and mobile in a wide range of emergency scenarios thanks to this mobility. If the battery is empty, it can be quickly changed but there is no need to tow the large and often very heavy power units.

2014 EDRAULIC 2.0

Introduction of the eDraulic 2.0 Generation. Forerunner with the eDraulic invention, four years of experience in use, further development of the rescue equipment: Weight improvement, powerful batteries, etc., flagships: R 421 E2 and S 700 E2!
