Sitelab - Model UVF-500D -Handheld Hydrocarbon Analyzer
Sitelab`s UVF-500D analyzer, part no. 50200, is a rugged, battery operated, low cost handheld instrument which features two optical channels. It`s made for Sitelab by Turner Designs, Inc. and is a direct replacement for the older TD-500D model. The UVF-500D is sold online and distributed with our partner company, Obstitech ApS in Denmark. The UVF-500D uses ultraviolet fluorescence to detect petroleum hydrocarbons in the C15 to C50 "oil and grease" range. Use on-site to monitor produced water, discharge water, bildge water and waste water contaminated by crude oil and heavy fuels oils. Samples are extracted in solvent and only take a few minutes to analyze. Soils and sediments can also be tested.
Analyzer is shipped factory calibrated using Sitelab`s TPH-Oil Calibration kit, part no. CAL-056H-500D. Test results compare well to EPA Method 1664, 9071B and other gravimetric methods. Includes batteries, cuvette adapter and a 100 ppm TPH Solid Standard. Procedures and supplies are available too to calibrate the analyzer using oil from your site. It`s easy to do.
