Zhuzhou - Heavy Hammer Liquid Control Butterfly Valve

The liquid control butterfly valve, also known as liquid control slowly-closing butterfly valve, is perfectly controllable and widely used in hydropower station as inlet main control valve for the turbine, or used in pumping stations, as outlet control valve.

  1. The valve could be used in the turbine inlet to achieve linkage with the units. When fully opened, the valve is automatically locked in the fully open position, with small flow resistance. The program can be preset to close the valve in two stages. Firstly, close the valve quickly to cut off most of the water; and then, close slowly to avoid water hammer and make the turbine operate normally.
  2. When used in pump outlet, pump- valve linkage could be achieved. When the pump is stopped or when in an accident, the valve can be turned off to prevent the backflow, with the function of both gate valve and check valve. According to user conditions, the valve could be automatically or manually shut off when power failure (or tripping). It is preset to close the valve in 2 stages, that’s, firstly quick closing, and then slowly closing, which can be adjusted to effectively prevent water backflow, over-speed inversion and water hammer.
  3. The liquid-control butterfly valve is hydraulic driving, having compact structure with high oil pressure and small-sized servomotor. According to working condition, the mechanical locking device can be provided when fully opened. When the valve is opened, the heavy hammer will be lifted at the same time. And the valve could be closed by the potential energy of the heavy hammer.
  4. Double eccentric design for soft sealing butterfly valve, to help close the valve by hydrodynamic force. Triple eccentric design for hard sealing butterfly valve. The valve can be closed more and more tight, but never overdone, thus, maintaining tight sealing and extending overhaul period.
  5. The hydraulic control butterfly valve is equipped with not only hand pumps and manual shut-off device, but also electrical control box for local control operations.
