MASCOT - HiFlo Pneumatic Positioner
The HiFlo Pneumatic Positioner from MASCOT is a robust instrument designed for precision control in industrial settings. It is suitable for use with both linear and rotary actuators, offering single or double-acting configurations that feature force-balanced mechanisms. Engineered to resist shock and vibration up to 2 Gs and frequencies of 500 Hz, the unit ensures stable performance even in demanding environments. The positioner supports rapid calibration with separate Zero and Span adjustments fully enclosed to prevent tampering. Air supply requirements are designed for up to 150 psi with a steady state consumption of 0.25 SCFM at 60 psi. It can be converted to an electro-pneumatic version by integrating a 4-20mA supply module. Designed for easy field reconfiguration and simple maintenance, the HiFlo has a modular architecture that reduces spare parts needs. Capable of operating in extreme temperatures, it features an epoxy coated aluminum base and stainless-steel components for durability. Most popular related searches

MASCOT HiFlo Positioners are Pneumatic Positioners primarily used by MASCOT control valves equipped with linear or rotary actuators. The positioners are single or double-acting, force-balanced instruments that provide fast, sensitive and accurate positioning of MASCOT spring cylinder actuators as well as diaphragm actuators. These rugged positioners are compact, field reversible, are designed for high performance. They offer separate Zero and Span adjustment for ease of calibration.
- Shock and Vibration Resistant : The design of valve positioners is such that they have high natural frequency coupled with pneumatic dampening. It is unaffected by vibration, acceleration up to 2 G’s, and frequencies to 500 Hz.
- Versatile Mounting : By simply changing the cam and follower arms, the same positioner can be used on both linear and rotary actuators. This results in fewer required spare parts.
- Easily Field Reversed : A reversal of action in the field is achieved by simply turning the cam over, reversing the anti-backlash spring and changing the output tubing.
- Simple Calibration : As the Zero and Span adjustment is separate the calibration becomes easy. For protection and to discourage tampering, positioner adjustments are totally enclosed. Moreover, the positioners can be mounted and calibrated in any orientation.
- Air Supply & Consumption : The positioner is designed to withstand 150 psi (10.3 bar). It is not sensitive to supply pressure fluctuations so a change in supply pressure does not affect the output. The steady state air consumption is just 0.25 SCFM @ 60 psi (4.1 Bar) supply.
- Converts to Electro-Pneumatic : Can convert to an electro-pneumatic positioner with a 4-20mA supply in the field simply by replacing the pneumatic adaptor with a suitable IP module which fits directly in place of the pneumatic adaptor.
- Ease of Maintenance : Ease in maintenance because of the simplicity of the design, fewer parts and a highly modular design.
