Why would we do this?

Our customers believe it is much better to have more fire extinguisher than fire. And they realize that BEFORE the fire starts, no one knows how big their fire will be, where it will start, what’s going to be on fire, or what time of day it will ignite. And they understand, all too well, that the average farm has a fire large enough to need a fire extinguisher once every 3½ years! Therefore, our customers believe it is crucial to prepare in advance for their inevitable fire and they demand the best fire extinguisher available, with the most Fire Fighting Power possible without being bulky and heavy. In response to their demands we have created our High Capacity STOP-FYRE model.

Our High Capacity unit not only has more power but is also the best value for your money. It has significantly more extinguishing agent which gives you 233% more Fire Fighting Power than our Standard unit, but ONLY 50% more in price. Our customers have repeatedly said to us, “Let me get this straight, for only an extra $300 per extinguisher, I will have twice the power? Well then…go ahead and give me all High Capacity units – it’s a no-brainer!” And, of course, we agree with them.

In addition, each High Capacity unit comes with our patented Fire Extinguisher Cap which protects the handle and valve from insects, dirt, and other debris.

Why would anyone, or any company, in their right mind build a fire extinguisher canister so tough and so far beyond what is required? Why do something bordering on ridiculous?

Because we don’t build STOP-FYRE for the D.O.T. or to meet a minimum standard – WE proudly build STOP-FYRE for you, OUR customer, and farmers are not known for being gentle on their equipment. STOP-FYRE is an American product, built in America for Americans, and is built American-tough!!!

STOP-FYRE has been taken to a whole new level of toughness because our canister, used for both our Standard and High Capacity models, has an average burst strength of 850 psi! The new canister is more than THREE times stronger than what the D.O.T. requires.

In addition to strength, our new patented canister allows us to mount a fully-recessed pressure gauge in the bottom of all of our Standard and High Capacity units. This pressure gauge, along with the included inspection tag, is necessary in order to satisfy an inspection. This way the inspector can quickly assess that your extinguisher is in working condition.

When you prepare in advance with the right fire extinguisher, your next fire is likely be a minor inconvenience, which barely even slows you down, instead of being a major tragedy which could have been a devastating event. Important Note: The United States Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requires that a canister have a minimum burst strength of 270 psi in order to earn its highest rating of “2Q”. The equivalent governmental transportation entities in both Canada and Europe require a minimum burst strength of 313 psi in order to earn their highest rating of “18-bar”. “24-bar” is the highest rating a canister can earn with a required burst strength of 525 psi, but our Standard and High Capacity models have an average burst strength of 850 psi! Our new canister is more than THREE times stronger than what the D.O.T. requires because our customer needs the strongest most-effective fire extinguisher available!

Interesting Fact: About 25% of the handheld units we manufacture are our High Capacity STOP-FYRE unit, but this percentage is rapidly changing as our customers learn of the availability of this model.
