Dakota - Model HPX DL+ -High Penetration Precision Thickness Gauge
The Dakota PMX High Penetration Precision Thickness Gauge (HPX DL+) is engineered for measuring materials that are challenging for sound penetration due to inconsistent material properties, grain structure, and substantial thickness. This gauge provides high voltage pulser options and filters that are specifically calibrated for low-frequency transducers ranging from 500 kHz to 10 MHz. Compatible material types include fiberglass, carbon fiber, cast metals, rubber, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), lead, and various steels and aluminums. Its primary applications involve assessing fiberglass sheets, pipes, storage tanks, aerospace composites, boat hulls, conveyor belts, and composite plastics. The gauge utilizes an FPGA-driven electronic platform to ensure high-speed processing and a 25Hz screen refresh rate for optimal responsiveness. It also features a built-in data logger offering grid or sequential file formats, along with a 4Gb SD card for storage. Connectivity with PC and Apple systems is enabled via USB-C, with free reporting software available for both Windows and OSX. A range of Single Element Contact Transducers are available to suit different material applications.

The electronic platform is FPGA driven for speed and accuracy. The screen refresh rate of 25Hz contributes to the overall responsiveness of the gauge.
The built-in data logger has two file format options, grid or sequential, and is equipped with an internal 4Gb SD card for memory. Connectivity to a standard PC or Apple via USB-C, and used in conjunction with our Windows® PC or OSX reporting software available for download, at no charge, on our website.
