HI-Q - Model HVP-6000AFC Series -High Volume Air Samplers
The HVP-6000AFC-Series high volume air samplers are housed in a clear-anodized aluminum outdoor shelter. The unit incorporates a touch screen user interface with a maintenance-free, 2 or 3 stage centrifugal blower powered by a brushless, variable speed, maintenance-free motor. The speed of the motor is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) that accepts a signal from a mass flow sensor mounted in the sample air flow stream. The touch screen displays the operator’s Pre-Set Flow Rate, Instantaneous Flow Rate, Total Volume of Air Sampled, Elapsed Sample Time, Barometric Pressure, and Ambient Temperature.
The HVP-6000AFC-Series samplers are programmed to log the flow rate (in actual and standard conditions), barometric pressure, and temperature at user-selectable intervals to an internal memory card. This information is downloadable to an external USB drive as a csv file. The samplers incorporate an alarm feature which is user settable to not only alarm when the set flowrate is not being achieved, but also log any abnormal variations in flow while sampling. The HVP-6000AFC-Series samplers include an Auto Flow Calibration feature when used in combination with HI-Q’s, D-HFC-Series air flow calibrator. Manual flow calibration is still an option using any high-volume air flow calibrator.
- Touch screen PLC permits simple navigation of various menus
- Flow rate trend display
- Flow alarm monitoring
- One touch Automatic calibration when paired with HI-Q’s D-HFC-Series
- Networking and communication capabilities
- Downloadable log files through panel mounted USB-A port
- Automatic/PID User selectable mass or volumetric flow control
- Barometric pressure & temperature display
- Continuous data logging
- User selectable flow units (CFM, LPM, CMM)
- Totalizer shut-off
- Cyclic Timer
- Elapsed Time shut-off
- Brushless 2 or 3 stage blower motor
- 7 Day Timer operation
- Continuous use
- Maintenance free
- EPA recommended filter shield
- Analog Output
- SMS communication
- Motor/Pump:
- 115/ 230 VAC, Brushless, 2 or 3 Stage Centrifugal Blower.
- 250 W – 1200 W (depending on model)
- Max Vacuum Capacity: 39” H2t118” H2(depending on model)
- Max Current Draw: 4.5 Amp – 10.5 Amp (depending on model)
- PLC:
- The PLC detects changes in the operator’s pre-set flow rate (in standard or actual units) due tchanges in temperature, barometric pressure, and pressure drop due tdust loading on the filter media. It compensates for these changes by adjusting the motor speed tmaintain the pre-set flow rate.
- The PLC alsallows for programming of custom sample on/off time settings & pre-set total volume shut off.
- Data Download:
- All recorded data can be downloaded ta USB-A memory stick inserted directly in the front panel as a .csv file. The log files can be viewed using any standard spreadsheet software like MS Excel. This eliminates the need tcarry a laptop tthe field or install any custom software for data download.
- Software Updates
- The Micro-SD card in the PLC allows for easy firmware updates without having tremove the controller or the panel.
- Calibration:
- The 15-point auto-calibration can be accomplished by connecting a cable between the HVP’s panel mounted RJ11 port and D-AFC then running the autcalibration feature within the calibration menu.
- Filter Shield:
- A “Filter Shield” is available as an option tprevent contamination of the filter media by windblown particulate while sampler is not in use. The “Filter Shield” automatically uncovers or covers the filter paper during sampling and non-sampling periods respectively tprevent fugitive dust from settling on the filter paper.
- Networking / Communication:
- The Networking and Communication options include: 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC analog output proportional tflow, the ability tsend & receive SMS messages to/from any cellular phone for possibly alerting/reporting any pre-defined event via text message, remote or local data acquisition.
- Wireless networking feature allows user tuse a smart phone, tablet, or PC tmonitor and control the air sampler.
- RJ-45 Ethernet port for hard wired connections tinternal networks for remote monitoring.
