Himin - Model U -Pipe Collector
A U pipe collector is comprised of a manifold and many vacuum tubes each containing one U-shaped copper pipe. Sunlight is captured by the coated vacuum tubes which absorb the radiation as heat and conduct it through aluminum fins to the U pipes. A manifold on the top of the solar collector allows the working fluid (typically anti-freeze) to be pumped through all of the U pipes in parallel, and then through an external heat exchanger which transfers the heat to water in a pressurized storage tank.
- No water flows in the evacuated tube, so water scale and tube exposition are avoided. Single broken tube will not affect the working of the system.
- It can be integrated with the architecture perfectly and be connected with the existing pipes.
- Patented interferential film coated evacuated tube with absorptance among 94% to 96%; vacuum degree of 5×10-4 Pa; its service life will be not less than 15 years.
- U pipe collectors have passed the Solar Keymark certificate and CE certificate, met EN12975 standard.
Applications of U-pipe Solar Collector: The solar collector can be installed in solar heating systems to heat water for a wide variety of uses, including home, hotel, school, business projects and industrial uses.
When in series or parallel connection, it also can be used to heat swimming pools, and supply heat for underfloor heating or air conditioning.
Efficiency
- The parameters are tested by German Fraunhofer research institute.
- Max. transient efficiency: η0a=0.779
- Heat loss coefficient: α1a=2.103W/㎡K
- Α2a=0.0107W/㎡K2
