How to use Hioki ST4030A Impulse Winding Tester
The ST4030A detects layer shorts between coil windings, defects found in motor inductors. By using a master waveform taken from a reference coil after applying a boost voltage, and comparing it to the waveform measured at a specific interval of the coil under test, the resulting difference in area can help determine if it passes. or fails with ease and precision.
