Hollow Stem Auger Unit
Our portable Hollow Stem Auger unit enables our crews to install 2` wells to monitor groundwater in areas that prohibit the use of conventional truck-mounted drilling rigs. Our crews can easily wheel this modular drilling frame (80` high) around a project site. The auger unit can also operate inside buildings and can install monitor wells to depths of 10 - 15 meters.

The augers are 8" in diameter with an inner diameter of 3.75" and are powered by a gasoline hydraulic motor with 100` of extension lines. The lead auger has hardfaced cutting blades and holds a plug in place to insure a continuous open hole. The individual augers are 4` in length and are less than half the weight of other hollow stem augers.
