The HG6000 and HG6000TX horizontal grinders from Vermeer offer productivity and efficiency to your organic waste recycling. Building on over a decade of grinder research and development, the HG6000 and HG6000TX are loaded with performance-enhancing features. These machines package innovation, power, and safety-conscious solutions for large-scale reduction and recycling of green waste and storm debris.
The HG6000 is equipped with a fifth-wheel towing configuration that includes highstrength, lightweight aluminum wheels with 385/65R22.5 radial tires to improve onsite mobility and provide increased ground clearance.
The HG6000TX features a Vermeer track undercarriage with 20"- (50.8 cm) or 24"- (61 cm) wide double-grouser track pads using sealed track rollers and compressed coil springs to provide protection against debris buildup in the track system.

Series II Duplex Drum
With reversible hammers and cutter blocks, this drum offers nearly double the life of single-sided designs, producing optimum cutting performance and simplified maintenance.

The ColorMaster® CM101 coloring system converts ordinary wood waste into profitable, color-enhanced landscaping mulch. The CM101 attaches to the fender of the trailered HG6000. A pump, two spray bars, and up to 19 colorant nozzles, powered by the grinder’s hydraulic system, fuse liquid colorant into the wood fiber providing optimum coloring.

The innovative HG6000 / HG6000TX features the Thrown Object Deflector (TOD). The TOD reduces the quantity and distance of thrown material debris. Additionally, the TOD is strategically positioned to reduce interference when loading over-length material.

State-of-the-art wireless remote control units allow the operator to run most machine functions away from the machine. Remote controls are nontethered with a maximum working range up to 300` (91.4 m).

The standard microprocessorcontrolled HPTO clutch is designed to control the starting sequence with the push of a button — no need to bump a clutch. Minimal operator interface is required to initiate the grinding process.

Easy-access screens are engineered with a top-loading design to allow operators to change screens more easily, and in less time, than conventional screens. A fully hydraulic, moving hammermill / screen cover is easily positioned over the feed table to allow maximum workspace when servicing the mill or changing screens.

The patented SmartGrind system and hydraulic feed roller down pressure keep material moving so that loading speed and productivity are maximized. Open-ended, wide feed tables are designed to make over-the-side loading easy and efficient.

The HG6000TX blower system is designed for use in clean wood applications. This optional blower features 140-degree rotation and tilt adjustment via remote control to distribute processed material over a large area or into the rear of a chip-hauling trailer. The blower features a heavy-duty impeller assembly with replaceable wear plates and convenient service access.
