Mass Aritma - Model MAN 5210 -Horizontal National Aerators
Horizontal shaft aerators hold a significant place among surface aerators used to meet the aeration and mixing needs in biological wastewater treatment systems. Due to their low energy costs and effective mixing and oxygen transfer, horizontal shaft aerators are widely used, particularly in trench-type aeration tanks.
The rotational movement of the rotor creates a forward current in the water and also provides the necessary environment for oxygen transfer. Depending on the oxygen requirements and dimensions of the facility, a dual type where a single drive unit drives two rotors can also be preferred.
Aerators, designed in various sizes, are used to meet the oxygen requirements of biological wastewater treatment. Their power ranges from 2.2 to 110 kW for vertical shaft types, while horizontal shaft types have power ratings between 5.5 and 45 kW.
Furthermore, aerators can be designed as floating structures with pontoon systems. Jet mixing can offer similar efficiency to air distribution systems without problems such as clogging and maintenance needs. Jet mixing can be applied from the aeration of small-scale package plants to the aeration of large-scale biological ponds.
