The HumiCore in-line moisture measurement sensor ensures product quality by measuring the moisture inside the material core…not just the surface. It is a reliable, continuous on-line system that provides real-time data. Allows for automation of drying or moisturizing at different points in processes to minimize energy costs and maximize profits. The well-designed compact sensor, which is easy to install and calibrate, works with a large variety of powders and bulk solid materials. The HumiCore is available in an Ultra version with a controller for local interface and data logging or a Pro version with a DIN-Rail transmitter for easy integration into an existing control system.

The HumiCore in-line (on-line) moisture measuring system for continuous process monitoring guarantees trouble-free measurement of the internal product moisture of solids and emulsions. The HumiCore moisture sensor circuitry principle is centered around an electrical high frequency field. The HumiCore is based on technology that has been developed and proven over several years.

With no material present, the ambient air is the dielectric component of the electrical high frequecy field. The dielectric constant of air is one. When the process is active, bulk material passing in front of the sensor face displaces the ambient air and becomes the dielectric for the electrical high frequency field. As the dielectric constant increases, it also causes a change in the electrical high frequency field. That change is processed by the electronics, is compensated for temperature, and is sent to the controller or transmitter. Given the sensor output, a control system or the available controller can now quantify and display the moisture content of the material passing by the sensor face. The area of material influence is typically 7.75 inches (200mm) from the sensor surface. Calibration is a short and simple procedure. The HumiCore sensor can provide a high precision measurement (0.1% to 0.3% typical). The in-line measuring system for process monitoring guarantees trouble-free measurement of the internal product moisture of solids and emulsions.

Ultra Series

A complete HumiCore Ultrasystem consists of the controller and the sensor. The controller provides graphic user interface with softkeys and a clearly arranged display of the measured, alarm and MIN/MAX values, combined with easy editing and parameterization for simple operation. In addition, up to 24 different product parameters can be stored in the controller to accommodate product or process changes.

PRO Series

A complete HumiCore PRO system consists of the DIN-Rail transmitter and the mass flow measurement sensor. The DIN-Rail transmitter allows for easy integration into an existing control system. Calibration software is provided. In addition, up to 24 different product parameters can be recorded to accommodate product or process changes.

Monitor Technologies LLC warrants each HumiCoreTM System to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for two (2) years from the date of purchase. The purchaser must notify Monitor of any defects within the warranty period, return the product intact, and prepay transportation charges. The obligation of Monitor Technologies LLC under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement at its factory. This warranty does not apply to any product which is repaired or altered outside of Monitor Technologies’ factory, or which has been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, incorrect wiring by others, or improper installation.
