RapidSmart is a fully modular and packaged MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) sewage treatment plant designed for decentralised wastewater applications, serving populations from 50 to 250 EP. Compact, easy to install, and relocatable, it’s ideal for remote communities, mining camps, resorts, small developments, and any site without access to centralised sewer infrastructure.

The Packaged MBR STP offers a flexible, scalable, and sustainable solution for decentralised wastewater management, with low energy use, robust treatment performance, and the ability to meet various regulatory standards for discharge or reuse. The system consists of the following process components:

  • Screen – removal of plastics, rags, and coarse material
  • Balance Tank – buffers peak flows for consistent performance
  • RapidSmart® MBRBiological Treatment – Three distinct smart zones;
    • Anoxic Zone – Denitrification.
    • Aerobic Zone – Oxidation of organics using blower-fed aeration grids.
    • MBR Zone – Solid-liquid separation via submerged flat sheet membranes.
  • Disinfection – sterilisation of bacteria, pathogens, viruses and coliforms via the use of UV and Chlorination
  • Sludge Management (optional)
