Kemox - Model HPMC -Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose
Kemox hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(HPMC) is the selection of pure refined cotton as raw material,with propylene oxide and chloromethane as etherifying agent,under alkaline conditions through etherification of non-ionic cellulose etheris a tasteless,non-toxic white or white powder,can dissolve in cold water,swelling into transparent or slightly turbid colloidal viscous solution,the degree of substitution is generally 1.2-2.0. Its properties are subject to the proportion of methoxy content and hydroxypropylcon-tent,and there are differences. Main ingredientsicotton,methyl chloride,propylene oxide,caustic soda liquid.
Kemox HPMC is a non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether which offers a variety of functional properties when dissolved in water. It can be used as thickeners, binders, surfactants, protective colloids, suspending agents and water retention agents.
Water Retention
Enhance water retention, improve cement, gypsum building materials too fast drying and hydration caused by poor hardening, cracking and other phenomena.
Improve Workability
Increase the mortar plasticity, improve the construction of industrial coating, improve work efficiency;
Cohesiveness
Due to the improvement of mortar plasticity, so that it can better bond the substrate and be bonded;
