ICT - Model Poly-XT -High Molecular Weight, Anionic Water-Soluble Polymer
Poly-XT is a high molecular weight, anionic water-soluble polymer in emulsion. It is a liquid PHPA. It acts as a protective colloid to inhibit shale’ lowers system pressure losses, friction reducer, increases hydraulic horse power to the bit’ it can increase viscosity and also enhances solids control equipment in the control of drill solids.
Poly-XT can be utilized alone or in conjunction with NaCl, KCl, and seawater. The “salt/PHPA” muds can approach inhibition levels comparable to oil muds.It is recommended that low gravity solids be less then 6% for best performance.

Poly-XT is used in concentration of 0.25lb/bbl-3.0 lb/bbl depending on on it’s use and also how much excel PHPA is desired using the PHPA test kit. PHPA encapsulated the drill solids, so for every barrel of formation solid drilled it needs to be replaced depending on the activity of the formation; normally about 6 lb PHPA/bbl of formation drilled.
SS11 is packaged in 5 gallon plastic pails stacked 32 per pallet.
