Company History – GBI was founded in 2006 by seasoned industry veterans Scott Kent and Jeff Murray. They shared a simple but powerful vision — deliver high-quality products and service for customers’ plate steel construction needs. Their combined expertise was instrumental in gaining repeat customer business which fueled rapid company growth.

To sustain that growth, key senior managers with complementary skills and backgrounds were recruited to the company in early 2008. The company further expanded its fabrication capabilities in early 2010 with the acquisition of Bear River Fabrication. GBI continues to attract veteran industry managers and employees who share our company vision, mission and values. Looking to the future, we will stick to our roots, make customers happy, and rely on our people to make GBI great.
