Suction Unit: The vacuum provides outstanding suction performance. The suction is provided by a six stage vacuum pump connected with a propane engine by a belt transmission system. Thanks to the quick cover release system it is easy and very quick to maintain. A vacuum gauge enables constant checking of the suction performance, and detecting possible clogging of the filter. A diffuser filter reduces the speed and noise of the air on the exhaust outlet.
The filter is protected inside the steel filter chamber; the polyester star filter provides a filter surface of 7,600 in2, and a high filtration efficiency (class M, 1 micron). The manual mechanical filter cleaning system allows the user to clean the filter efficiently. This simple operation will keep filtration capacity and suction performances at their maximum level. The 3 inch suction inlet and internal cyclone slows down the incoming dust and reduces the clogging effect on the filter.
The longopac system makes it possible to dispose easily and safely of the vacuumed material directly into a plastic bag. The vacuum is mounted on a robust 4 wheel steel chassis with 2 pivoting wheels with brakes; all metal parts of the vacuum are epoxy painted.

The PV18 also has forklift pockets to allow for transport over rough terrain or picked up by a strap for easy placement.
