The dramatic change to the new textured elegant black and grey `state of the art` material gives the product an immediate industrial feel to it. This new material has a greater temperature resistance than before and a lower outgassing rate to help speed up the weld purge.

Part of the scientific breakthrough has been the addition of a simple but very effective weld purge gas release system called IntaCal®. No more complicated valves to set up with trial and error tests as this purge gas release system is using state of art technology.

IntaCal® is a very clever device that allows inflation of the dams and purging of the system at the optimum flow rate to ensure minimum usage of expensive inert gas.

Coupled with the new PurgeGate®  mechanism, QuickPurge® systems are guaranteed for life to not to over inflate and burst due to over pressurisation, thereby ruining the systems.

The new positioning device RootGlo® uses a luminescent glow band in the centre of the device to help the welder position QuickPurge® Systems within the dark cavity of the pipe. Visual identification of positioning can be made easily now through the root gap of the pipe joint with RootGlo®.

Using scientific innovations, Argweld® QuickPurge® Systems have been updated to include IntaCal® technology that eliminates the old fashioned valve system and all of the pre-setting necessary as well as preventing the risk of over inflation.

Additionally, Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® has integrated the new RootGlo® positioning strip, a highly luminescent central band that allows the operator to position the Argweld® QuickPurge® System quickly and accurately and give a clear view of the root centre line of the QuickPurge® System.

RootGlo® absorbs enough energy during daylight hours to provide up to 12 hours of luminiscence inside the pipe.

Argweld® QuickPurge® Systems are used for high quality, reliable welding of reactive metal tube and pipe joints to ensure a very fast weld purge time and a very high quality weld root, free from oxidation, discolouration and coking.

Typical weld purge times for the Argweld® QuickPurge® System would be less than 8 minutes for a 36" pipe down to 0.1% oxygen and correspondingly faster for smaller diameters.

The systems are manufactured from a heat protective material so that the high temperatures at close proximity to the weld do not damage the devices.

Quick fit coupling for purge / inflation hose complete with `O` ring for gas tight sealing and stainless steel collet to hold the tube mechanically tight. Now fitted with "Anti-Release" circlip to prevent parts accidentally separating inside the pipe.

Special attention has been paid to the selection of low vapour pressure materials to minimise outgassing in the purge space during welding giving greater assurance of obtaining a clean oxide free weld root.

Independently inflated dams to reduce volume of expensive purge gas used. The unique design of the central sleeve dramatically reduces purge volume.

Perfect central alignment and weld root obeservation with the RootGlo® centring band. The positioning strip will continue to glow in the dark for 12 hours and can easily be seen through the weld root which allows fast and accurate alignment.

No metal parts can scratch internally polished stainless steel tubes or pipes or cause cross contamination. The absence of metal parts in the proximity of the weld ensures that NDT examination is not disrupted.

In combination with the multiple sintered outlets and IntaCal® gas release mechanism, which is low profile precise device, the weld purge gas is dispersed evenly without turbulence.

Four pull straps on each dam multiple stitched with tough kevlar thread, each with a breaking strain of over 1000 lbs. Enables easy manipulation around bends and fittings as well as in straight pipes. Friction free coatings to allow easy movement through pipes from one joint to another.

With PurgeGate®  technology, each device has absolute protection from bursting and over inflation of the systems.
