The Olpas Dry Solids/Dry Matter Sensor is designed for inline measurement in iron water and iron sludge. Featuring ultrasound technology, the sensor offers high reliability and accuracy in challenging conditions where traditional optical and microwave sensors fail, due to the opaque and conductive nature of iron sludge. Capable of measuring dry solids concentration from 2% to 30%, it is insensitive to fluid color, velocity, and solids' structural changes. The sensor is pre-calibrated, with options for RS485 Modbus RTU communication, and integrates seamlessly with existing IoT solutions or PLCs. Installation offers flexibility with mounting options, including inline flange and chain mounting, and requires a minimal depth of 60mm for effective measurement. Constructed with durable materials like Stainless Steel 316L and providing easy maintenance requirements, Olpas sensors represent an efficient solution for water treatment facilities requiring high-precision solids concentration monitoring.

Advantages compared to optical sensors 

  • The high absorption of iron sludge interferes interferes with the transmission of light, making it difficulet for optical sensors to optain accurate readings
