The New Tool Set

Here’s a short review of our new tool set:

  • Rising stem OS&Y (outside stem and yoke) assembly allows for the feed screw to be operated from the top of the tapping machine rather than from the top of the extended feed screw.
  • New 8" and 12" pressure test plugs eliminate the need to use the test flange, and require just four hand-tightened bolts to install. This significantly decreases pressure testing time.
  • 4" ­– 8" insertion spacer saves 124 feed-screw turns during installation of a 4" ­– 8" valve.

What Else Is Included?

  • Dual lifting magnets to assist in lifting 10", 12" and 16" valve bonnets
  • 12" temporary gate valve lifting assist that easily attaches to your 12" gate valve to allow for a safe lift
  • Guide plate with handles to assist in lifting the insertion tool after valve insertion
  • Spray-on lubricant quickly lubricates components with a food-grade, aerosol spray — no more grease-covered hands!
  • Outside stem and yoke (OS&Y) rising stem assembly
  • 8" and 12" quick pressure test plugs
  • Hand drill powered equalization system
  • Insta-Valve 250 Patriot installation time is decreased by up to 25 percent
