InPhase - Ultrasonic System for Underwater Inspection
InPhase is developing an ultrasonic system designed to inspect marine structures with support from Innovation Norway. This system generates high-resolution images that are useful for detecting and characterizing damage to critical infrastructure. Initial tests on chain inspections have shown the system's capability to identify faults and corrosion, estimate steel thickness, and perform double-diameter measurements. Premature fish net inspection results indicate that it can detect net damage, including behind a lice skirt. The technology aims at applications in various fields such as acoustics, corrosion monitoring, fish farming, imaging, material inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), oil and gas industries, and renewable energy sectors, particularly for thickness measurements and comprehensive ultrasonic assessments.Most popular related searches
