ATX UPSU IPC can easily be separated from the power during system operation. ATX UPSU bridges the power supply until the operating system is shut down. ATX UPSU is a UPS with supercaps. Devices with ATX UPSU can be switched on and off via the power supply. Compared to an IPC with external UPS batteries, the ATX UPSU is directly contained in the device and is maintenance-free. In case of power failure, a controlled shutdown is triggered by ATX UPSU via the power button on the mainboard.
