ITT C'treat - Hypochlorite Generation Systems
C'treat's Hypochlorite Generation Systems are engineered for durability and efficiency, suited for use in harsh environments such as offshore energy sectors, marine markets, and various industrial plants like LNG terminals, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and wastewater treatment units. These systems produce Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) at non-HazMat concentrations of less than 1%, providing an effective on-site biofoulant solution without the need for hazardous chemical handling and transportation. The system's capability to produce NaOCl on demand mitigates issues related to the natural degradation of the solution over time, ensuring consistent efficacy. These systems are particularly beneficial in processes requiring seawater for cooling or treatment, providing an environmentally ideal solution for preventing biofouling in seawater applications.
C’treat Hypochlorite Generation systems are designed and built to the same standards as C’treat’s world leading offshore Reverse Osmosis Watermakers.
The rugged and compact construction is ideal for the offshore energy sector, marine markets, LNG terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants, wastewater treatment plants, power plants, desalination plants, and any other application in a demanding environment that requires seawater for process or cooling.
C’treat’s Hypochlorite generation systems produce Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) in non-HazMat concentrations (<1%), which is a well-known and proven biofoulant, on site so that there is no need to procure, transport, and handle dangerous chemicals. As the NaOCl is made on demand there is also no concern for the natural deterioration of the solution over time.
Typical applications in treating the biofouling of seawater include:
- Firewater systems
- Cooling water systems
- Ballast water systems
