IWS - Fish Screens
Our fish screen services include design and installation of large scale traveling water screens for rivers, lakes, aqueducts, canals and more. “Fish screens” with openings of 3/32” or fish-friendly screens (as shown), are available for design, manufacture and installation. Fish screens protect fish and equipment. Our fish screens are built to National Marine Fisheries specifications. International Water Screens will also build “fish-friendly” screens. These are machines that will allow fish to swim through, while the “belting” removes the debris from the water.
Our traveling screens offer multiple ways to collect debris while allowing or disallowing fish to swim through. Our traveling water screens are custom-designed for the location.
Water screens are constructed of heavy duty materials. Stainless steel 304, 316 and 317 are available. Water screen frames can also be made of aluminum or mild steel appropriately coated for your location.
All traveling water screen wear surfaces are covered with UHMW for long life. Screens are equipped with internal spray bar with high pressure water that removes the debris from the back side of the traveling water screen.
A complete traveling water screen system could include:
