Kathyon - Chemical Plant
Chemical plant wastewater is typically complex in composition, containing high concentrations of toxic organic matter, heavy metals, and high salinity, exhibiting poor biodegradability and posing significant treatment challenges. Therefore, its treatment process generally employs a combined "staged treatment" approach. Pretreatment begins with the removal of large suspended solids and the equalization of water quality and quantity through methods such as screening, equalization tanks, and neutralization.
The core of this stage is biological treatment, utilizing the metabolic processes of anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms to efficiently degrade organic pollutants in the wastewater. Finally, advanced treatment employs technologies such as advanced oxidation, membrane separation (e.g., reverse osmosis), and adsorption to further remove recalcitrant substances, salts, and color, ensuring consistently high-quality effluent that meets standards. Some of this high-quality effluent can even be reused in production.
