Precision filters, also known as security filters, are key fine-treatment devices in water treatment processes. Their core function is to finely filter liquids, removing tiny suspended particles, colloids, bacteria, and other impurities. Their working principle primarily relies on internally installed filter cartridges (common materials include melt-blown polypropylene, filter cloth, ceramics, and sintered stainless steel mesh) as the filtration medium.
When the water to be treated flows through the filter cartridge under pressure, its pore structure effectively traps pollutants larger than its pore size, thus achieving deep purification and enhancement of the water quality. Filtration precision is typically measured in micrometers, generally ranging from 0.1 micrometers to 100 micrometers, and can be flexibly selected according to the final water requirements. Precision filters are widely used in pure water and ultrapure water preparation systems in industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and chemicals, as well as as pre-treatment for reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membrane systems. They effectively prevent scratches and fouling of subsequent sensitive membrane elements by tiny particles, acting as an indispensable "guardian" in the entire water treatment system, crucial for ensuring the quality of the final product water and extending equipment lifespan.
