The advantages of polyaluminum salts compared to conventional aluminum salts (aluminum sulfate, aluminum chloride) are:
- rapid flocculation
- effective removal of organic substances and particle reduction
- low alkalinity consumption and sludge production
- lower coagulant dose
Kemira Polyaluminum Sulfates are low to medium basicity polyaluminum sulfates with good particle reduction and phophorus removal properties. They are used as coagulants for drinking water treatment, paper sizing and water treatment in the pulp & paper industry. They are alternatives to polyaluminum chloride in waters where chloride may cause corrosion.
