Flame and fire resistant Kermel® fibre, well-known for its suppleness and its `textile` touch for an aramid fibre, is of course used in a very wide range of fire and flame resistant knits worn in direct contact with skin.

Any knitting technology can be applied to yarns made out of fire and flame resistant Kermel® fibres, in 100% or in blends: Kermel V50 (50% Kermel®, 50% FR Viscose), Kermel V70 (70% Kermel®, 30% FR Viscose) or Kermel/Wood/FR Viscose.

For those applications, KERMEL recommends the use of its 1,1 dtex fine fibre. KERMEL is currently running wearer trials with its Kermel® micro 1,1 dtex fibre, offering increased comfort with lighter weights.
