Niagara Scientific - Model DIGI-6 -Kjeldahl Digestion System
The DIGI-6 Kjeldahl Digestion System allows the parallel digestion of up to 6 samples at the same time. Its strong and space-saving structure was studied to provide excellent heating efficiency and insulation. As a consequence, the power consumption is reduced dramatically, meanwhile ensuring an optimized digestion procedure. The temperature is controlled by a digital thermal regulator: the selected value is kept with a surprising level of accuracy and precision; furthermore, the digital controller includes an over-temperature protection system. The optional rack allows a quick handling of all digestion tubes, with its easy positioning and removal thanks to the practical lateral handles.
The acid fumes are fully gathered by the glass caps and the acid-proof tubes, placed on the upper part of the equipment. The fumes are efficiently conveyed to the favourite fumes removing system, such as a water jet pump or a scrubber: thus, the operator can choose to work outside the aspirating hood by easiliy connecting the DIGI-6 Kjeldahl Digestion System to an optional scrubber unit. The equipment can be used with up to 6 standard digestion tubes with 250 ml capacity, each. Upon request, a version for "Buchi" digestion tubes can be manufactured.
