Blinkers are one of the varieties of dust gates of continuous operation, discharging dust from the hoppers of aspiration dust collectors. Periodicity of their operation is adjusted individually, depending on the amount of captured dust, nature and system of dust transportation.

Single blinkers are installed if the rarefaction above them does not exceed 1000 Pa. In case of high rarefaction it is recommended to install two blinkers in series (double blinkers). The sealing effect of the device is based on maintaining a dust column of a certain height in the spigot.

Adjustment is carried out by selection of necessary mass of load, providing maintenance of certain dust column above flasher for creation of required tightness and uniform release of dust with minimal fluctuation of valve. When the blinker is adjusted, the dust/ash is released continuously and almost evenly to the outside.

The blinker discharges the dust from the dust collector hoppers. The principle of operation is based on creating a high degree of tightness (no suction) by uniform discharge of dust with minimal variation of the valve, which is achieved by the position and weight of the load to maintain a certain dust column above the blinker valve.
