About 80% of diesel engine operating costs are fuel costs. IPP´s want to check the specified Specific Fuel Oil Consumption (SFOC) during commissioning and the Fuel Consumption (FC) during operation. Harsh operating conditions such like fluid pulsation, temperature differences and vibrations made this impossible in the past.
Separate measurement of forward and return flow, each with its separate flowmeter, as well as temperature and pulsation compensation, are available as a complete system. The ease of installation and the high-precision measuring accuracy over a wide engine load and speed range make this system unique. The flow rate, the total volume, and fuel consumption can be read instantaneously with the aid of the KRAL BEM 500 electronic unit. Easy operation and precise measurement are characteristic of the KRAL design.
