Label Check Station (LCS)
The Label Check Station (LCS) is an all-in-one label printing and inspection system. Labels are created in the system and inspected by a high resolution camera. Labels which fail to meet quality standards are automatically rejected using an electronic rejection unit. Ultrasonic fork sensor systems perform counter-checking to ensure highest reliability. Users can program separate inspection areas on the label, setting different inspection tolerances for each area. The LCS can be easily integrated into new production lines or added as an upgrade to existing lines, providing a full range of functions and user-friendliness while reducing the complexity of your packaging process.
- Electrically driven rejection mechanism without the need for an air pressure supply.
- Label dispension from the reel automatically adapting to the printer´s speed.
- Minimal training- and changeover times.
- Inspection of text, barcodes, 2D codes and variable data up to a label size of approx. 170 x 230 mm and font sizes as small as 6 pt for missing or incorrect printing.
Variable Formats
The Label Check Station is not only suitable for large label sizes, but is also ideal for safe processing of the smallest batch lots. The PDF print templates can be populated with variable data.
Maximum Size Flexibility
The LCS allows for multiple inspection areas on each label, checking text, barcodes, 2D codes and variable data up to a label size of approx. 170 x 230 mm and font sizes as small as 6 pt for missing or incorrect printing. Users can set different error sensitivities for each inspection area.
Electrical Rejection
The Label Check Station dispenses the labels from the reel automatically adapting to the printer´s speed. Labels which fail to meet quality standards are rejected automatically using an electrically driven mechanism without the need for an air pressure supply.
Minimal Teach-in and Changeover Times
Teach-in times and operator errors are minimized throughout the entire workflow, which provides digital templates (such as PDF documents) as a point of comparison. All mechanical components are easily accessible, which contributes to reductions in changeover times.
Reduced Costs
Inline printing and 100% camera inspection allow products to be manufactured according to demand, enabling maximum flexibility. In turn, this reduces storage costs and waiting times for printed material.
Global Service Support
An extensive global service network fully supports cross-border contracts and ensures not only timely support but also the availability and quick delivery of spare parts to reduce downtime and keep processes running smoothly.
