LabSmith - Model SVM340 -Synchronized Video Microscope for Microfluidics
The SVM340 is a research-grade, inverted fluorescence video microscope specifically designed for applications in microfluidics and microbiology. This advanced microscope excels in capturing high-quality experimental data directly to a hard drive, supported by a range of customizable options including filters, cameras, illumination, and objectives. The system boasts a motorized traverse and focus, alongside software-configurable image-based triggers, making it ideal for µTAS prototypes and automated miniature processes. Its new Particle Counting Probes offer real-time particle counting and characterization up to 5000 particles per frame, enabling particle characterization from sub-micron to hundreds of microns in diameter. Applications relate to sensor monitoring in microfluidic sorters, culture characterization, and particle size quantification. The compact form factor (21 cm x 27 cm x 9 cm) supports scans up to 75 mm x 50 mm, offering a cost-effective solution for micro- and nanosystem research. Typically, the SVM340 ships within 4-5 weeks.

New Particle Counting Probes for the SVM340 let you count and characterize particles in real-time, at up to 5000 particles/frame. Characterize particles from sub-micron through hundreds of microns in diameter based on absorption, scattering, refraction or fluorescence. What’s more, you can use the results to monitor and control your experiment as it happens. Applications include real-time sensor for microfluidic particle sorters and manipulators, step-and-scan culture characterization, powder particle size and shape quantitation, etc.
