EnviroMet began in 1995 as MetroChem, Inc., an industrial chemical supplier of blended cleaning products. Our customers frequently asked us how to clean up the chemical if it spilled. We soon realized that there was a huge need to inform people how to clean up spills and comply with the constantly changing environmental regulations. Compliance seemed a daunting task for most managers we contacted. MetroChem, Inc. introduced a complete line of spill kits targeted to heavy equipment operators, such as trucking and construction companies. These kits were designed to contain and clean-up smaller spills that occurred as the result of break-downs or accidents. MetroChem, Inc veered away from the chemical cleaners to focus entirely on the pollution prevention products.

The new millennium ushered in a new name for MetroChem, Inc. when we started doing business as `EnviroMet` in 2000. We wanted our name to signify the products and services we offered to our customers. The words `environmental consciousness` conjure thoughts of dollar signs into the minds of many business owners and managers as they contemplate the high costs and difficulty of compliance. Our entire focus has been to provide affordable solutions to help develop compliance and safety within workspaces throughout our customers` facilities.
