Lateral Packers
Lateral inflatable packer rubber sleeves are manufactured and designed by RIPE as a cost effective replacement to conventional packer technologies. RIPE’s lateral packer also know as a ‘bendy’ packer is designed to inflate from the centre outwards to squeeze out air entrapment in the chemical grouting sleeves.
Lateral inflatable packer pipeline rehabilitation systems are used by plumber’s world wide for domestic type applications for the internal patch repair of mains, drains and sewer pipes and are available in sizes DN100-150 and standard length of up to 1,500mm overall length (all sizes/ diameters on request).
Lateral packers are a flexible packer able to enter mains, drains and sewer and as the ability to repair pipe joints, bends and angles of 45, 60, and 90 degrees. With low inflation pressures (up to 2.5 bar or 36psi) the packers are able to be inflated by way pneumatic hand pump making the process simple and easy.
Flexible wheel packers are similar in construction with the inclusion of wheels at each end of the packer to prevent the packer and equipment dragging along the borehole. This is particularly useful in pipes/ drains where horizontal entry may be required.
