Lipcoat - Model 100 -Hygroscopic Dust Binder
The dust binder LIPCOAT ® 100 is a powder of organic polymers with a hygroscopic effect (binds moisture from the environment). This powder is dissolved in water and used against dust, for example on unpaved roads, on conveyor belts, sieving stations and crushers.
Biodegradable
Despite the long effectiveness of LIPCOAT® 100, it has to be reapplied after some time because it is biodegraded and is also exposed to constant weather. The reapplication can then also be carried out with a significantly lower concentration of the solution.
Low water consumption
When using LIPCOAT® 100, water can be used much more economically, since it stores the water longer or allows it to evaporate more slowly. In addition, moisture is absorbed from the ambient air (morning dew, rain).
If dust plumes are visible again after a long time, the LIPCOAT® 100 can be reactivated by watering again. Even morning dew or only light rain reactivate the product.
Enlargement of the particles
The LIPCOAT® 100 agglomerates (enlarging the particles) the fine dust particles into larger particles and glues or encrusts the surface in connection with moisture. Due to the agglomeration of the dust particles, the dust binding continues even on permanently used, unpaved roads, even after the moisture has evaporated.
