The new L 538 stage IIIB is particularly efficient and environmentally harmless. It consumes up to 25% less fuel than comparable machines from other manufacturers in the same operating conditions. Up to eight percent of this fuel saving advantage is achieved as a result of the new Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE) system.
LPE reduces fuel consumption as well as component wear through the intelligent management of the individual units, in which the engine management is pro-actively controlled taking all engine parameter characteristics into account. LPE recognizes the performance profile required by the driver and performs this with the maximum output in the most efficient manner possible. Due to the proven Liebherr travel drive, tire wear is typically reduced by up to 25% and the service brake remains practically free of wear. Increased productivity due to first-class comfort: The cab is particularly spacious and comfortable. All the operating elements have been perfectly ergonomically aligned with each other. The hydraulic cabin mounting substantially reduces vibrations and excessive noise in the interior of the cab.
