Local Assessments Management System (LAMS) will be accessible, along with other optional modules, from a new environmental suite portal, which is also under development at Gold Systems.
The long-term vision for LAMS is to continue streamlining the assessment decision support and management processes:

  • Ability to do more of the assessment-related metadata management directly in LAMS and automatically update AWQMS with the changes.

  • Ability, in LAMS, to research and define the water quality monitoring results data sets to be included/excluded in/from the reporting cycle (and provide rationale). This will reduce or eliminate the need to attach AWQMS data export files or exceedance reports.

  • Be able to perform all of the the data analysis required to make the assessment decisions directly in LAMS (e.g exceedance analysis, comparisons against complex standards, trend analysis).

  • Eventually, LAMS could potentially stand alone without AWQMS and/or potentially be able to integrate with other AWQMS-like water quality monitoring data management systems.  However, if you have a home-grown or an off-the-shelf water quality monitoring data management system that doesn’t already work and play well with WQX, we are confident that switching to the combined AWQMS and LAMS solution will save your organization a lot of money and technical hassle over the long-term.
